Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.
How would you propose excito goes about thic anouncement then? There isnt exactly a registration requirement for purchase of a B2/3, so nobody knows who the customers are. Would you like an advert in all of the worlds newspapers? Oh and when was the last time you heard Apple or Microsoft hand out a...

Re: I have been attacked and don't know why.
(Turned out difficult to backport a newer PHP, there is non for Squeeze due to some serious compatibility issues). newer PHP? There is an 5.3.3-7+squeeze17 my B3 runs 17 5.3.3-7+squeeze4. This bug should be fixed in 5.3.3-7+squeeze9 if I read the change log correctly. php5 (5.3.3-7+squeeze9) squeez...

Re: ejabberd and existing web server?
Have you tried to use purge rather then remove with apt-get before doing the reinstall?
purge
purge is identical to remove except that packages are removed and
purged (any configuration files are deleted too).

Re: GUI of an application from B3 on Linux machine through s
By the way ForwardAgent is an client configuration and not an server configuration so it should not be in the B3 configuration file hence the error message.

Re: GUI of an application from B3 on Linux machine through s
Nice to see that some one actually uses the wiki I wrote. Sorry it does not work for you. First try to start an xterm. That is run the command xterm You are running the command with the same user as you login in with ssh and not as root are you? You have to do some extra step to be able to start gra...

Re: Troubleshooting B2 Upgrade 2.0 to 2.4?
What are you using to unpack and change the config file? Some Windows programs are trying to be helpful and change all text file to have line break Windows style instead of Unix style. The installer want work if the text files has windows style line break. Once upon a time the installer could have p...

Re: New product?
There is some more information to be found here of the new product. But I would say the information is not totally correct. I living in Sweden but this product is nowhere to bee seen yet. But I guess that we should soon get some more information from Excito.

Re: B3 and Owncloud - guidance
A better way to access the mysql from an other computer would be to do an port forward with ssh. Then you do not have to make mysql accessible from outside. Note that I have never actually used mysql myself but I have used port forwarding to other stuff and I cant see why it should not work with mys...

Re: B3 and Owncloud - guidance
If you look at the install package it is called owncloud_4.5.6-1_all.deb which implies that it should work for all architecture. I do not think there is any compiled stuff in owncloud just some php script and stuff which works regardless which architecture it is installed on. Note that I have not in...

Re: Can't install openjdk-6-jdk on bubba2
If you have succesfully changed the source.list the errors Err http://ftp.se.debian.org etch/main Packages 404 Not Found [IP: 130.239.18.137 80] should have disappeared when doing an apt-get update. According to this page you should use default-jre or default-jdk to install java in Debian. If you do...

Re: Can't install openjdk-6-jdk on bubba2
The problem is that you are on an old B2 version which is built of an now unsupported version of Debian. Se this post for more information. So your alternative seems to be to either edit your /etc/apt/sources.list by hand. That is changing http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian to http://archive.debian.org...

Re: Failed B3 (another)
Could it be a problem with a kernel panic at shutting down? I know I had that on my ubuntu box it did segfault when unmounting an autofs mount point. See this bug report umount segfault on shutdown when unmounting autofs mountpoint.

Re: B4 wishlist
Would not an extra core or two be good. Normal there are several different services running at the same time which should be able to use some extra cores. Extra cores does not take that much in power consumption.
