Re: Remove files from /home/storage/downloads
It is the permission on the /home/storage folder that decides who has rights to create and remove the folder /home/storage/downloads. The permission on the /home/storage/download folder only tells who can create files and folder inside the download folder.

Re: Squeezebox won't "clear library and rescan everything"
I have the same problem with "clear library and rescan everything" as you describe. It says it is scaning but it does nothing and there is nothing in the log at all. I have done some debugging but have not find anything useful. I have to little time to do some heavy debugging. After some g...

You could change the version when doing the make menuconfig since it is an configuration setting.

Re: bubba|two not booting up after v2.4.1 upgrade
mount -? should show you how to specify file system type but it is very brief so it might be hard to understand. man mount will give you more information. Any way you specif the file type with the flag -t <type> and it this case the type should be ext3 so [coderoot@Microknoppix:/# mount -t ext3 /de...

Re: Lost admin page
If does not get any address from the router and uses it default address of 192.168.10.1 I do not think it is enough to set the computer to be in the 192.168.10.x. The routers LAN side must also be in the 192.168.10.x range else it will refuse to forward the request between the computer and the B3. T...

Re: bubba|two not booting up after v2.4.1 upgrade
Hi Did I understand you correctly that you tried to boot you normal pc from your bubba disk? That want fly at all since the hardware is totally different. They use different processor architecture for example. Windows are very bad at reading partition created by other things than windows so the raw ...

Re: Lost admin page
In server only mode you need to know the IP address that the B3 gets and use that IP number to connect to the B3. You can not use the b3 name since the name server you are using has no knowledge of that name. When using the B3 as an router it is the B3 that acts as an name server and it does now of ...

Re: [solved] B2 as wificlient not working after update to 2.
Thanks ryz! I'm just NOT sure what you are going to do w/ the following command: change_distribution -us It should be change_distribution -us elvin I think I did a typo and forgot the elvin but changed it more or less right away. You probably read it in between. This is to make sure that you can do...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
Users that have the wireles versin of the Bubba and uses it as an access client rather then an AP should be aware that this has been broken in this upgrade of the kernel so you need to compile your own kernel to make it work. It is the wext (Wireless Extensions for Linux) that is missing in this ker...

Re: B2 as wificlient not working after update to 2.4.1
I have finally got the wifi to work in client mode. It did unfortunately involve compiling a custom kernel due to the fact that wext (Wireless Extensions for Linux) was left out of the kernel in 2.4.1 in favor of the new nl80211, cfg80211. This in it self would not be a big problem since wpa_supplic...

Re: B2 as wificlient not working after update to 2.4.1
After some investigation it seems that the wext driver is not compiled into the the kernel in 2.4 and 2.4.1. I have tried to use the new nl80211 driver which gives less error but complains about not finding WPA support in the driver. Has any one got this working with the 2.4 release? I do not unders...

[solved] B2 as wificlient not working after update to 2.4.1
Hi! I have been using the B2 as a wireless device to an access point with now problem until I decided to upgrade to the 2.4.1 release. After the reinstall where I choose to not partition or format the /home storage I am unable to get B2 to work as a wificlient. It does work as an AP so the hardware ...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
Known issues Note: This only applies if you have a 2 TB HDD. If you install this on a new disk, not previously used with Bubba 2, the installer will fail creating the swap partition if you are on a 2 TB disk. Your system will work but may behave errouneously under heavy load. Workarounds: 1. If you...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
It looks like the 2.4.1 has been release quietly at least it is that version you do get when you go to the
