Will synchronizing with horder - Thunderbird (lightning) work with this update??
Can we publish to horde? Kronolith with for example thunderbird with lightning.

We have made it working, and horde in claire does work; Though we havn't been able to release it into marielle yes due to limited time for full testing (wLAN takes most of our time at the moment).

When will horde in claire work?

Puma
It's up in the upcoming 1.3 release due in a couple of weeks
This is working now yes.

I've managed to update. I ran it from the console and had a little problem getting Horde to update (I kept being prompted for a database update that didn't work).

Because Horde hadn't update, Bubba front and back end couldn't update.

Eventually I said "no" to the database update for Horde (I don't use it) and things finished off nicely. I've now got access to my SAMBA shares again.

I must say, things do feel much faster when browsing Samba shares on Windows and Mac machines.

1.3.0?

Do you mean that you are not able to reach it in Internet Explorer or by "\\bubba"?

/PA

its the \\bubba\ that doesnt work. My printer doesnt work either so I guess there is a samba-problem?

Hey all,

I didn't have any problems upgrading but once I'd rebooted I noticed the mysqld process was using 100% CPU. I let it carry on for a few hours with no change so I restarted the daemon. It was fine after that. You might all want to check your own servers.

Ok I found out that if I execute /etc/init.d/samba restart ,as root it works, but only until next restart.

There should be plenty to tell from our serverside logs.

But if you want to be on the safe side, make sure admin can access on the WAN interface (change the password though), and to have a user that has ssh access (and not ssh blocked in the firewall).
All "magic" that has been done in this upgrade concerns the LAN interface, not WAN.

I also got an error while updating via the web-interface.
I then restarted the B2 and did a dist-upgrade and found four not fully installed packages.

Got a question in an "Configuring bubba-horde" interface whether I wanted to use dbconfig-common to perform upgrade on database for bubba-horde. I chose yes and got the following bad result

Code: Select all

Then I tried another dist-upgrade, but chose no to the dbconfig-common question, which got the operation to finish installing the remaining packages. I don't know if Horde is functioning since I don't use it. But samba and apache is working without problems (samba copy speed up approx 3 mb/s to over 10 mb/s), and the B2 web-interface shows 1.3.0.

Hello,

Update went without problems

Only took a while when i rebooted.

I have:
1. Raid1 with bubba storage
2. use bubba as proxy with squid and squidguard.

Only had to restart again due to the fact that i thought it took to long and I had 2 USB drives connected.
Disconnected them (thought that would be the problem) rebooted and went to bed, this morning no flashing blue light and worked perfectly (only had to change profile in network tab)

Horde works MUCH faster via internet!!
I have to check publish from thunderbird-lightning =>kronolith

Good work EXCITO! :D

Despite the odd kernel error I reported above (and someone else did too), the upgrade seemed to go well for me. I have a 1.5Tb setup with a 1.5Tb Bubba|Storage. No RAID.

The one thing I did *not* like was that it replaced my custom firewall configuration. Fortunately I had it saved off in another location so it was easy to restore.

My update failed during the "integrity check", then the updater got all messed up and was reporting 0.0% complete and every so often flash then the webserver was being restarted.

So I consoled in and tailed the syslog, after the failure to looked like the webserver was being restarted over and over. Here is the snippet from the syslog:

It just kept looping like this for 10 minutes or so, then I just reboot.

I still see version 1.2.1 in on the home page, but it appears everything updated OK. I see the new networking page and checked that Samba in now 3.4.2. Everything "seems" to be working ok...

I'd like to see 1.3.0 on the home page and get that last library updated.

Any help would be appreciated.
