I looking after a printer who is working well under windows and linux..

HP Laserjet 4L

does the job for me.
kost me less then 30 euro's...

I think HPs generally have good Linux support. Anything will work on Windows of course.

Samsung does have nice printer management interface, which works through web browser, which is nice if you have Linux machines.
At least CLP-350 has this browser interface.

Although in order to get status messages from printer ( paper jam, main motor jam :) ) you need to install printer application to your computer. Too bad status messages aren't readable through Samsung web interface.
