Reinstall bubba

Post by hawkman »

Hello,

I have installed a new disk in my B3. I am trying to install the image by following the manual.
I unzipped the install files to a usb-stick. But when booting B3 with the usb-stick inserted, the LED is only green for a short while, then it is turning to flashing purple. Does this mean that my stick is not working?
I have tried two different sticks, formatted them in Windows to FAT32 and copied the install files.
I have also tried to prepare the stick with diskpart.

Any suggestions?

Hello again,

it seems that the usb-stick is used for booting at least.
There is a log file in the stick saying:

Hi

did you alter anything in the config files (or any other files) that are on the USB disk?

Nope. Just dowloaded the zip and extracted it to the usb-stick...

Update:
I manually created 3 partitions. Then the install went ok.
If I look at the bubba.cfg, I assume that it is supposed to both partition and format the drive by default.
Maybe it is not working on a disk "out of the box"?

Anyway, now I have a system up and running again, which is nice :)

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. How did you manually created the 3 partitions?

Thanks

Hello,

I plugged the disk into my computer (Mac) and created the partitions in disk utility.

Ok. So did you pull the disk from the B3 case? Or is there any way to connect B3 directly into a computer?

Thanks for your help!
