How to from B2 to B3 easy?

I just got a B3 and would like the know if there is an easy process to move all the existing stuff from B2 to B3.
Also would appreciate proposolas of how to utilize the B2. Can it be used as a NAS for example?
And finally; I ran the upgrade on the B3 to make sure that it has all the latest features. I got "Failures found in package (dpkg) database, unable to continue with upgrade".
All seems to work for now but is there something I should do to rectify this?
