Problem when disabling Anonymous FTP

I am not interested in having Anonoymous FTP, so I disabled it by logging in with Admin, clicking 'Services' and unchecking 'Anonymous FTP access'

After next reboot of my PC, I had problems to access the Bubba by http://bubba/
and making a 'ping bubba' says unable to resolve hostname.
When I enable 'Anonymous FTP access' everything works as normal.

Is it supposed to be like this?

Hi Filip,

That's strange, I can't reproduce that phenomenon here. And, when Bubba is unreachable, how do you do to to enable the 'anonymous FTP access' again?

Let me know those details, I'll try to help you out.

It is still reachable by typing the IP-address of the bubba.

Ok. That is very strange, especially since I can't reproduce it here. If you try one more time, does it reappear?

I will try to reproduce the error.

What could be the reason to loosing the hostname 'bubba'? Could it be the router that forgetts what it should resolve to?

Yes, that's probably the explanation, that the dns request from your PC for some reason doesn't go through. I can't however connect this to the anonymous FTP setting in any way, but still, it would be great to be able to reproduce this. Please try, and let us know the result.

And, thanks for pointing out potential bugs to us. We do really appreciate it. :)
